China Opens US$67 Million International Joint Research Funding Programme
China’s Ministry of Science and Technology opened applications on 30 October for the first batch of its 2027 intergovernmental joint research projects, covering 10 priority research areas and cooperation with eight countries and international organisations. The programme expects to support approximately 118 projects with a planned central-government allocation of RMB 475.6 million (about US$67 million), creating opportunities for research institutions, international education partners, grant consultants and technical advisory firms to support applications and cross-border project delivery.
